Family Practice / Obstetrics - Contract Physician

 Physician – Family Practice/OB (Minnesota)

Job Description:

A rural critical access hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Family Practice physician with obstetrics experience to join its clinic and delivery service. C-Section privileges are welcomed but not required — this role is built around full-spectrum FP/OB care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide full-spectrum family medicine care across the lifespan

• Deliver prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum obstetrical care

• Manage labor and vaginal deliveries; perform C-sections if privileged

• Collaborate with a supportive, established OB/FP team

Schedule:

• 7-day rotation blocks, one or more per month

• Open to 14+ day blocks for physicians who prefer fewer transitions

• Call: weekday/night call plus one weekend per 7-day stretch

Practice Details:

• 115–120 births per year — steady, manageable volume

• Team-based coverage: full-time FP/OB physicians, a general surgeon backing up C-sections, and additional OB/GYN support — you won't be the only line of coverage

Requirements:

• MD or DO from an accredited program

• Active or eligible medical licensure in Minnesota

• Relevant clinical experience in family practice with obstetrics
